By the 1950's Mr. Lee was farming on 'Leeway Farm' outside Bolckow, Mo. and, at times, ran a small gas station nearby. He published his first book of poetry in 1957. By the 1960's he had a winter residence in Mesa, Arizona. Eventually he sold the farm and moved to Savannah, Mo. where he died 12 June 1975 at age 90.
