Notes for Deacon Samuel FULLER
Samuel came over the Mayflower with his parents as a boy in 1620. When his parents died he was taken care of by his Uncle Samuel Fuller (and his wife Bridget Mary Lee Fuller).
The year following Samuel and Jane's marriage, 1636, Sam and Jane built a pallizadse style house in Scituate, located on Greenfield Street. It had walls of poles, filled in with stones and clay, with a thatched roof, windows of oiled paper and a floor of hand sawed planks. They had 20 acres of land, probably a grant from the town. Sam was a constable and also served as a juryman and on committees to settle difficulties with the Indians. Samuel and Jane had at least 9 children.
